Creating a Zap for Breakdance Forms

Setting Up the Trigger in Zapier

  1. Log in to your Zapier account and start a new Zap.
  2. Choose ‘Webhooks by Zapier’ as the trigger for your Zap.
  3. Select ‘Webhooks by Zapier’ and then choose ‘Catch Hook’ as the event.
  4. Proceed to ‘Continue’ and skip to the test section.
  5. Copy the provided webhook URL, which will be used in your Breakdance form settings.

Configuring your Breakdance Form to Send Data to Zapier

Enabling Webhooks in the Form Builder

  1. Go back to Breakdance and select your form builder.
  2. In the properties panel on the left, expand the actions section.
  3. Under ‘Actions After Submission’, find and enable ‘Webhook’.
  4. Use the pencil icon next to ‘Webhook’ in the actions list to open webhook settings.

Setting Up Webhook Details

  1. Paste the copied webhook URL into the field provided.
  2. Map each of your form fields to ensure data is passed correctly to the webhook.
  3. Configure fields such as ‘name’, ’email’, and ‘message’ with their respective IDs.
  4. Save your settings and prepare to test the form on the front end.

Testing the Integration

Test the integration by submitting a form entry and then verifying it on Zapier:

  1. Submit a test entry through your form.
  2. On Zapier, click ‘Test Trigger’ to see if the data has been submitted correctly.
  3. Upon successful testing, explore additional actions and integrations available in Zapier.
