Initial Setup for Mailchimp Integration

Creating a Mailchimp API Key

  1. In Mailchimp, go to Profile > Extras > API Keys.
  2. Click ‘Create A Key’ to create a new API Key and follow the instructions.
  3. Copy the API Key.

Adding Your Mailchimp API Key

  1. On your website, go to Breakdance >.Settings in your WordPress admin panel.
  2. Navigate to the API Keys settings.
  3. Paste your Mailchimp API Key into the ‘Mailchimp API Key’ field.
  4. Save the page.

Configuring Mailchimp in The Form Builder

Selecting Mailchimp in the Actions Section

  1. Select your form builder in the builder preview.
  2. In the properties panel on the left side, expand the actions area.
  3. From the ‘Actions After Submission’ dropdown, select ‘Mailchimp’.

  1. Click the pencil icon next to the Mailchimp action to open the Mailchimp settings.
  2. Choose your audience from the available options.
  3. Decide whether to turn on or off the double opt-in feature (off by default).
