Creating a Page Load Trigger for Popups in Breakdance

Breakdance provides a straightforward method to engage your website visitors with pop-ups as soon as they land on your website using the Page Load popup trigger. Whether you wish to display a sign-up form, announcements, or special offers, this feature ensures that your message gets immediate attention.

Getting Started with Popup Triggers

Adding a New Popup

  1. Begin by navigating to your WordPress admin panel and go to Breakdance -> Popups.
  2. Click on Add Popup to create a new popup.
  3. Choose a Location to specify where you want the pop-up to appear. To display it throughout the website, select “Everywhere”. Optionally, set Conditions to narrow down where the popup appears.

Setting Up the Page Load Trigger

  1. After defining the basic settings, move to the Popup Open When section and click Add Trigger.
  2. Under the Trigger On dropdown, select Page Load.
  3. You can choose to display the pop-up immediately or introduce a delay by specifying a duration (in seconds) in the provided field. For instance, entering “3” will display the pop-up 3 seconds after the page loads.

Designing and Editing Your Popup

Editing the Popup

  1. Hover over the newly added popup in the popup list and click Edit in Breakdance.
  2. Now you can begin to design your pop-up by adding elements like text, images, and forms according to your requirements.

  2. If you set a delay, count the seconds, and observe the popup appearing smoothly.
