Setting Up Slack Webhook

Creating a Webhook in Slack

  1. Access a Slack workspace where you have permission to manage apps and integrations.
  2. Go to ‘More’ on the left-hand side and select ‘Automations’.
  3. In the app directory, search for ‘Webhook’ and add the ‘Incoming Webhooks’ app.
  4. Choose a channel (e.g., General) for the webhook to post to and click ‘Add Incoming Webhooks Integration’.
  5. Scroll down to the setup instructions and copy the provided webhook URL.
  6. Close the Slack settings and return to your workspace.

Adding Webhook URL to Breakdance

  1. Go to the WordPress admin panel and navigate to Breakdance > Settings > API Keys.
  2. Paste the copied Slack webhook URL into the ‘Slack Webhook URL’ field in the API keys section.
