Header & Footer Tracking Codes

Adding Tracking Code to Your Website’s Header or Footer with Breakdance

In this guide, we’ll demonstrate how to insert tracking code into the header or footer of your website using the Breakdance plugin in WordPress. This is essential for implementing analytics or conversion tracking tools like Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Meta/Facebook pixel, etc.

Accessing Breakdance Custom Code Settings

Navigating to Breakdance Settings

  1. Login to your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Go to Breakdance > Settings.
  3. Go to the “Custom Code” section.

Adding Code to Header or Footer

  1. Breakdance provides two input fields: “Header Code” and “Footer Code.”
  2. Determine where your tracking code should be placed based on the instructions provided with it (usually by the service you’re using, like Google Analytics).

Additional Notes

After saving, the custom tracking code will be loaded on every page of your website. Always follow the specific instructions provided with your code, as improper placement may lead to inaccurate data collection or website performance issues.
