Breakdance’s built-in canvas is a live preview of what your design will look like on the frontend. There are multiple options for previewing your designs with and without leaving the builder environment:
- If you’d like to get the interface out of the way, you can click the edit icon next to the “Add” button to hide the Properties Panel. You can also close the Structure panel using the “X” icon near the top-right of the panel.
- If you’d like to browse the entire site from within the builder, you can navigate to Settings > Global Settings and click the “Browse” button near the top of the Global settings panel. This will allow you to navigate the website within the builder preview by clicking links, etc. While in Browse mode, you can make changes to Global Settings but not individual elements. To exit Browse mode, click the back arrow icon near the top right of the builder interface.
- To preview your designs at various breakpoints, use the breakpoint dropdown at the center of the top bar in the interface. This will allow you to choose specific breakpoints and see how your design will look at that viewport width.
- Finally, you can view your design on the front-end by clicking the “X” button near the top-right of the builder interface and choosing “Exit to Frontend.”
