Templates allow you to apply the same design to multiple pieces of content, such as blog posts, WooCommerce products, custom post types, archives, and more.

In the WordPress ecosystem, the term ‘single’ refers to individual pieces of content. This could be a unique blog post, a specific WooCommerce product, or any other singular content type, such as a custom post type. For instance, viewing a post or a product would mean viewing a ‘single’ of that type. For a comprehensive guide on creating and managing single templates, refer to the Singles Templates documentation.
Contrasting with singles, archives in WordPress aggregate multiple content items of a similar kind. This could be a collection of blog posts from a specific month, WooCommerce products under a particular category, or any other group of related content. Dive deeper into archive templates with our dedicated Archive Templates documentation.
Breakdance determines where a template should apply based on the Location and the Conditions. This combination empowers you to have precise control over exactly where your templates apply.
Locations are broad categories of where a template will be applied. Dive deeper with our dedicated Locations documentation.
Conditions provide the granularity to determine under which specific circumstances the template will be displayed. Dive deeper with our dedicated Conditions documentation.
Template Order allows you to specify a template’s priority. The template with the highest priority that can be applied to a page on the front end will be shown.
