Templating

WooCommerce templates apply a shared design to individual products or product archives, using the current product or archive’s content.

Create a WooCommerce Template

  1. Go to Breakdance > Templates and click Add Template.
  2. Choose a WooCommerce template type below. Single Product and Shop Page & All Product Archives create the template immediately; open its Settings to rename it. Specific Product Archive asks for a title and conditions before creation.
  3. Click Edit in Breakdance to build the layout.

Template Types

Single Product

Applies to individual product pages. Use Product for a complete layout or Product Builder for a custom design. See Product customization.

Shop Page & All Product Archives

Applies to the shop and product category and tag archives. Add Shop Page to display the current archive’s products; use a Custom Area to render a Global Block for each product. See Shop & Product Archives.

Specific Product Archive

Applies to selected product category or tag archives. Choose Is Taxonomy > is and select the terms to target. See Shop & Product Archives for building the layout.

Editing Product Templates

Use WooCommerce Dynamic Fields to display the current product’s title, images, prices, and other details. Leave Product selectors unset to follow the product being viewed. Use the editor’s preview picker to choose a product to preview while designing.

Assigned WooCommerce Pages

Open the assigned Cart, Checkout, and My Account pages directly in Breakdance. WooCommerce assigns them under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced; see Cart, Checkout, and My Account for customization. The assigned Shop page uses a product archive template.

Conditions and Priority

Use WooCommerce Conditions to narrow where a template applies. If multiple templates could apply to the same request, the one with the higher priority wins. See Location, Conditions & Priority.
