Empty State

A loop with nothing to show renders nothing at all — no heading, no message, just a gap
where the list would be. The When Empty setting replaces that gap with a Global Block of
your own.

Find it in the Advanced popout inside Content → Repeated Block on Post Loop Builder, Term Loop Builder, and Repeater Field.

Setting it

Open Content > Repeated Block > Advanced and choose a
Global Block under When Empty. That's the whole control — one dropdown, no position or
frequency, because there is only ever one empty state.

Build the Global Block like any other: a heading, a line of explanation, maybe a link back
to a fuller listing. It is rendered on its own, in place of the entire list — not once
per missing item.

When it fires

The empty state renders when the loop's own source comes back with nothing:

  • On a Post Loop, when the query matches no posts.
  • On a Term Loop, when the taxonomy returns no terms.
  • On a Repeater Field, when the field has no rows on the
    current item.

Source Results and Display Conditions

When Empty responds to the source: no matching posts, no matching terms, or no repeater rows. An empty custom field inside one result does not trigger it; use a fallback or display condition instead.

Likewise, a Filter Bar hiding all loaded items does not make the source empty. Reaching the end of Load More or Infinite Scroll does not append the empty block.

The empty-state block has no current result to supply post, term, or repeater-row values. Use static content or site-level fields.
