Slack Integration

The Slack action sends form submissions to a channel through an incoming webhook.

Create an Incoming Webhook

  1. Open the Slack app dashboard, choose Create New App > From scratch, enter an app name, and select your workspace. You can also open an existing app.
  2. Open Incoming Webhooks and enable Activate Incoming Webhooks.
  3. Click Add New Webhook to Workspace, select the destination channel, and click Authorize. Join a private channel before selecting it.
  4. Copy the URL from Webhook URLs for Your Workspace. See Slack’s incoming-webhook instructions.

Save the Shared Webhook

  1. In WordPress, open Breakdance > Settings > API Keys.
  2. Paste the URL into Slack Webhook URL and click Save Changes.

The webhook sends to the channel chosen in Slack. Use another webhook to send to a different channel.

Connect a Channel

  1. Select Slack under Actions > Actions After Submission in the Content tab, then configure Use Slack Webhook. Default uses site credentials; Custom uses this form’s connection. After correcting credentials, click Reload Key.
  2. Configure the message and save.
