User Access

Open Breakdance > Settings > User Access to set builder access by WordPress role.

Set Role Access

Choose an access level for each role and click Save Changes:

  • Full Interface — Complete builder.
  • Edit Content Interface Only — Simplified content-editing interface (Client Mode).
  • No Access — No builder access.

Client Mode simplifies the interface; it is not a security restriction. Only trusted users should receive builder access. Administrator access cannot be restricted here.

Override a User

Under Users > All Users, edit the user, set Breakdance → Builder Access, and save. Default inherits the role's access. WordPress permissions still determine which posts they can edit, and the post type must be enabled.

Preview Client Mode

Select Impersonate a user with Edit Content access, save, and open the builder. This previews the interface without changing your account or its permissions.
