Importing a Full Site

Import a complete design set to add its pages, shared layouts, and styles to your website.

Import a Design Set

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Breakdance > Design Library.
  2. Browse the sets and click Live Preview to view a site.
  3. Click Import, review the changes, then click Confirm Overwrite & Import.
  4. Wait for the import to finish, then open an imported page in Breakdance to customize it.

Importing replaces the shared settings supplied by the set and moves existing Templates, Headers, Footers, Global Blocks, and Popups to Trash. Ordinary pages and posts remain alongside imported content. Back up an existing site first; restoring layouts from Trash does not restore overwritten settings. Third-party plugins are not installed by the import.

Only sets with full-site import enabled appear here. To use a shared URL, add the custom design set first. For individual pages or sections, use the library inside Breakdance.

Set the Homepage

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Settings > Reading.
  2. Under Your homepage displays, select A static page.
  3. Choose the imported home page under Homepage, then click Save Changes.

Troubleshooting

A Custom Set Is Missing

Check that its creator enabled Full Site Import Enabled and that its complete URL is saved under Custom Design Sets.

The Import Stops

Resolve the reported error before retrying. Completed stages remain applied; another import can create duplicates if the source designs have changed.

Imported Pages Look Different

Check for failed settings stages and required plugins. You can import shared settings separately.
