Overview
Design Presets share appearance between elements of the same type. Content remains separate.
Create a Design Preset
- Style an element in the Design tab, then choose Choose Design Preset > Create preset from design.
- Enter Preset Name, click Save, and save the document assignment. At least one Design value is required.

Apply a Design Preset to an Element
Select an element of the same type and choose the preset under Choose Design Preset in the Design tab. Applying a preset replaces the element's local design.
Once a preset is applied, open the element’s Design tab to:
- Edit — Open the preset’s shared design. Changes affect every element using it.
- Clear Styles — Click the X to remove the preset assignment without copying its styles to the element.
- Detach Styles — Copy the preset’s styles to the element and disconnect it from the preset. You can then edit those styles independently.
Managing Design Presets
Open the top bar menu and choose Design Presets. The panel lists your presets so you can manage them in one place. Save your changes after editing shared presets.
Edit a Design Preset
Open a preset from the list to edit its name and styles. Preset Name changes the name; Search and Modified help you find design settings. Changes affect every element using the preset.
If a matching element is not selected, Edit Anyway opens the preset’s controls.

Delete a Design Preset
Delete a preset from the panel to remove it. Deleting does not create detached copies of its styles on elements that used it. Detach those elements first if you want to retain their appearance.
History
Use history to restore an earlier set of presets.
Import and Export
The import/export menu exports presets as JSON. When importing, choose how to combine the file with your current presets:
- merge — Matches preset IDs while retaining unrelated presets.
- replace — Removes the current editor set and replaces it with the imported presets.
