Conditional Form Fields

Conditional fields appear when another answer matches a rule.

Set a Visibility Rule

  1. From the Content tab, open Form > Fields, then open the field to show or hide and enable Advanced > Conditional.
  2. Choose the controlling field under When field, then set Operand and Value.
  3. Save. For example, show “Company name” when an “Enquiry type” Select equals “Business”.

Comparisons

Available operands depend on the controlling field:

  • equals, not equals — Compare with Value.
  • is one of, is none of — Compare several values where supported.
  • contains, does not contain — Match text or multiple-choice values.
  • is before, is after — Date/Time comparisons.
  • is greater than, is less than — Number comparisons.
  • is set, is not set — Check for an answer; the only File Upload comparisons. No comparison value needed.

Choices use configured options; Text/Date/Time show corresponding value inputs.

Hidden and Required Fields

When the rule fails, the input is hidden and disabled: it neither blocks submission as Required nor submits a value. Check both visibility states on the front end.

After editing another field, recheck its ID, When field, and option values.
