History

History lets you return the page you're editing to an earlier state, including its elements, content, and styles.

Undo / Redo

Use Ctrl/Cmd + Z to undo a change and Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + Z to redo it. To choose an earlier page state, open the three-dot menu in the editor's top bar and click History.

Changes appear newest first; Initial State is the page as it was when you opened the editor. Click Save to keep the selected state. Making a new change after undoing discards the redo history. Reloading or switching pages starts a new session history.

You can only restore revisions that WordPress has kept. Your host may configure WordPress to limit or disable saved revisions; ask your host about its retention settings if older versions are missing. See WordPress revision settings.

Breakdance > Settings > Advanced > Limit Revisions can also remove older revisions on subsequent saves.

Global Settings, Variables, Selectors, and Design Presets have separate histories. Restoring a page revision does not restore the whole site.
