Breakdance 3.0 Beta 9

Breakdance 3.0 Beta 9 is available for testing and includes fixes for issues reported during the 3.0 beta period. For comprehensive details on version 3.0, see the Beta 1 announcement.

Improvements

• Class names with punctuation, such as Tailwind utilities like md:w-1/2, now work as intended
• Global Blocks edited inline gain a preview chooser to pick which post their dynamic data previews
• Term Loop Builder’s term query editor highlights PHP and starts with an example query
• New installs enable Modern Normalize and disable the theme by default

MCP Server

• html-to-page tool has been improved to build loops, global blocks, dynamic data, and entrance animations in a single run. Agents can now complete pages without calling the edit-post tool.
• Fixed a bug that would cause images built via MCP to render with no srcset, width, or height attributes
• New get-media-sizes tool lists the available sizes
• New get-dropdown-options tool lists a dropdown control’s live options
• create-reusable-global-block tool now accepts Preview Size settings
• Code controls declare their language and an example value
• Fixed html-to-page dropping class names without a class selector of their own
• Fixed the CSS importer breaking calc() in shorthands, dropping order: 0, and dropping sibling-index() and sibling-count()

Bugfixes

• Fixed variables in Design Presets outputting invalid CSS
• Fixed Fundamental Image and hover backgrounds rendering nothing when the selected image size does not exist
• Fixed sibling loop items disappearing while inline editing in Raw Mode
• Fixed dropdowns not closing on canvas click after switching documents
• Fixed variable placeholders showing the variable ID instead of its name on smaller breakpoints
