Breakdance 3.0 Beta 3: Now in Your Language

Breakdance 3.0 Beta 3 is available for testing and includes fixes for issues reported during the 3.0 beta period. For a full overview of what’s new in Breakdance 3.0, refer to the Beta 1 announcement.

Breakdance now speaks your language

Breakdance has always been built in English, and until now that was the language you had to build in. Starting in 3.0 Beta 3, every label, button, and message in the builder can now be translated, and Breakdance picks up your WordPress language setting automatically when a translation is available. Nothing to configure.

Brazilian Portuguese is the first language shipped so far. If you’d like to see Breakdance in your language, please contribute at translate.breakdance.com.

Elements

• New Swiper / Swiper Slide elements. Your agent can now build more complex sliders in Breakdance.
• New Loop Cart Button element. It’s now possible to build Global Blocks with custom Add to Cart buttons.
• New accordion layout for Woo Product Tabs element.
• Fundamental Text Link now gets an is-active class when its URL matches the current page, same mechanism as the menu link elements.
• Fundamental SVG Icon has been rebuilt to support modern icon libraries. Existing icons remain unchanged and appear as Fundamental SVG Icon V1.

Builder

• Added experimental WebMCP support, allowing compatible in-browser AI agents to edit the page currently open in Breakdance. Browser and agent support is still limited.
• Fundamental Elements now show the Selector properties in the design tab, so styling no longer needs a round-trip to the Selectors panel.

MCP Server

• Added support for Popups in the MCP. Your agent can now build beautiful popups.
• Sites now get a stable CSS class prefix, instead of each agent coming up with one of their own.
• Introduced get-ecommerce-instructions tool: WooCommerce guidance for building Shop/Archive templates, Single Product pages, filters, and taxonomy loops. Your agent is now much smarter when building WooCommerce stores.
• Introduced preview-post / preview-element tools: Render a post’s element tree or a single element over MCP so agents can verify their builds without spending too many tokens.
• CSS !important Rules are now preserved in the CSS importer.
• Fixed Global Settings failing output validation under certain conditions.
• Better support for Dynamic Data so it shows as a badge in the UI instead of showing the Dynamic Data shortcode.
• Tools that don’t accept inputs no longer trigger fatal errors.
• Empty containers stay Containers in html-to-page instead of collapsing to an invisible, childless Text element
• Fixed a PHP 7.4 parse error in the html-to-page tool.
• Element schemas now expose the HTML tag, so agents can set a Container to render as a <section>, <header> or <nav> and build properly semantic pages.

Others

• Fixed: Basic slider image/overlay sizing scoped under .bde-basicslider so generic img rules can’t override it.
• Fixed: leftover styles in a few elements were overriding the new 3.0 selectors. The most visible symptom was Shape Divider size and position breaking on Sections.
• Stale .breakdance ancestor prefix removed from a few elements’ hand-authored default.css.
• Comment Form fix: Removed duplicate class attribute on the email label.
• Fixed: the date picker in the condition editor selected the previous day in time zones ahead of UTC.
• Fixed: an element with a lot of classes stretched the class chooser until the properties panel tabs were pushed out of view. The list now scrolls.
• Fixed: opening a post whose template has no Template Content Area element left the builder hanging with no canvas, instead of showing the “This post can’t be edited directly” message.
